Why did you become a lawyer? I was introduced to basic legal principles when I was in year 10 at high school and wanted to learn more. I became very interested in how Australia’s legal system operates, and this tied in with my other core interests of history and debating. I continued to explore my interest in Australia’s legal system and the law when completing my VCE studies and this solidified my decision (made when I was 15) to pursue a law degree. Why Moray & Agnew? Moray & Agnew was a great fit for Nick Duggal’s practice which I supported at a previous firm. We moved across in November 2016 and have not looked back. A great place to work with great people, continued growth, and a lot of opportunities to work on some very interesting matters. What do you enjoy outside work? Outside of work I am very family orientated and spend as much time with my husband and three children as I can. I enjoy watching my oldest and youngest children play basketball and have supported their endeavours in various roles including as a coach and a team manager. I also enjoy supporting my middle child who aspires to work in building and construction when he completes school this year, even when it means storing various woodwork creations around the house! I also like to keep active. Two fun facts: first, I represented Victoria at junior level in cricket as an opening bowler and coached cricket for many years, and second: I have achieved 10,000 steps or more every day since 21 November 2021! Three words that sum you up Determined (not stubborn, there’s a difference!), reliable, friendly.
