Tegan represents the Commonwealth Government in a wide range of litigation matters before courts and tribunals.
Tegan frequently appears as a solicitor advocate in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Federal Court, and the Administrative Review Tribunal. She advises clients on issues relating to immigration and disability and regularly manages matters involving complex legislative frameworks and large-scale litigation.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Providing advice to and acting on behalf of:
- The Minister for Immigration in relation to the extensive immigration caseload, including judicial review proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court, Federal Court and High Court of Australia and merits review proceedings in the Administrative Review Tribunal
- The Department of Social Services in proceedings before the Administrative Review Tribunal for review of decisions concerning the Disability Support Pension and Carer payment
- The National Disability Insurance Agency in proceedings before the Administrative Review Tribunal for review of decisions concerning access to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and provision of supports under the NDIS including appearance work
- The Department of Veteran Affairs in proceedings before the Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Court of Australia.
