EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
Maddison gained experience as a solicitor in a Queensland Community Law Centre, assisting disadvantaged Australians with social security and disability discrimination matters. She then moved into the Australian Public Service, where she continued working on Commonwealth entitlement matters.
Maddison developed her skills working with Government departments and lay applicants to find a resolution to proceedings. She now litigates matters before the Administrative Reviews Tribunal.
Maddison takes a proactive approach to dispute resolution and works to successfully find a resolution to matters, where appropriate.
Maddison has acted for Government in a range of litigated and advisory matters and, through this experience, developed a deep understanding of the ACT’s Law Officers Legal Services Directions 2023, the Commonwealth’s Legal Services Directions 2017, and the obligation to act as a model litigant.
