EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
Megan has practiced in the personal injury and insurance space for over a decade, initially acting for injured plaintiffs at a leading boutique firm prior to joining Moray and Agnew in January 2023. Her current work focuses on managing and defending personal injury claims for both private insurers and government clients brought in negligence, including those involving catastrophic injury and large loss, complex issues of indemnity, liability, contribution and quantum.
Megan brings a balanced and unique perspective to a claim with her prior experience and prides herself on being able to provide advice that reflects a commercial and common-sense approach to the issues at hand. She is committed to life-long learning and maintains up-to-date understanding of clients’ areas of business and the evolving legal landscape.
Megan has experience managing and defending personal injury claims in most States and Territories in Australia.
Outside of work, Megan is passionate about fitness and is an animal lover. She supports a number of not-for-profit organisations that care for cats and welcomes opportunities to volunteer in the community.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Defending litigated matters in the District and Supreme Courts of NSW, including claims involving multiple defendants and complex questions of liability and contribution.
- Negotiating and resolving numerous matters, including securing favourable cost orders and verdicts for the defendant.
- Carefully managing sensitive personal injury claims to achieve excellent outcomes including compromised settlements.
- Handling matters involving complex indemnity, dual insurance, and contribution/recovery issues, as well as complex quantum.
