Having practised in insurance law for almost 20 years, Daniel has extensive expertise in workers’ compensation and common law actions. He has particular experience appearing as Counsel at WorkCover WA and in the District Court of Western Australia. Daniel is focused on representing the best interests of clients at hearing or by negotiating a commercial outcome.


Daniel acts on behalf of major insurers / insured employers and self-insured entities.

He is highly regarded for his expert legal opinion and implementing strategies in close conjunction with his clients.

In addition to his expertise in litigation, Daniel is highly regarded for his negotiation skills in achieving the most commercial outcome for clients.

Daniel also offers additional support to clients by providing training and conducting workshops for insurers, employers, brokers and the legal profession.

Daniel is the preferred legal services provider for various local, national and international organisations with whom he works closely to provide a tailored service, appreciating the specific needs of clients.

He has particular expertise in workers’ compensation claims and is regularly engaged to represent clients in sensitive matters, including claims with media interest and involving serious and catastrophic injuries.

He also has a keen interest in contractual and indemnity disputes, multi-party litigation and recovery proceedings.

Daniel recognises the interests of all parties in the management and defence of claims including insurers, employers and brokers, with whom he has longstanding relationships and extensive experience.
