Lucie’s primary area of practice is motor vehicle insurance litigation (both recovery and defence). She acts for major insurers in relation to motor vehicle accident disputes concerning both quantum and liability issues. Lucie runs an efficient debt recovery practice and has a high rate of success in timely recoveries from third parties and/or their insurers.


Lucie has a sound knowledge of common law negligence, contract law, bailment, insurance fraud and investigation and policy interpretation and application. She has advised on various matters arising from the relationship between insurers and the motor vehicle repair and hire car industries.

Lucie’s practice consists of high volume recoveries and she has received strong praise from her clients  for the effective approach she adopts when pursuing claims. She has experience practising in the Victoria, Tasmanian, Queensland, South Australian and Western Australian jurisdictions.

Lucie has extensive experience in motor settlements. She is particularly skilled at identifying claims which are appropriate to progress to trial and has successfully defeated multiple claims in full, or exceeding a formal offer, resulting in substantial savings for her clients.

She has an excellent understanding of the importance of efficient file management and is adept in providing clear, succinct and commercial advice. She is highly regarded by her clients for her focus on achieving the best possible outcome for her clients in a timely manner.

Lucie is a skilled advocate and frequently represents her clients,  both insurance companies and their insureds at mediations and conferences. She is  an experienced negotiator, which allows her to secure substantial outcomes and savings for her clients.


In one matter, Lucie’s negotiation resulted in savings in excess of $80,000 on a single claim involving a quantum dispute for cost of repairs and a large loss of income claim.
