Why did you become a lawyer? I have always had an interest in the law. After high school I studied business (marketing and management) and then found myself working in Real Estate for 8 years. I was looking for more of a challenge and applied for jobs that had a legal aspect to them. I joined Moray & Agnew as a secretary and have never left! When I started working for lawyers I knew that is what I wanted to do, and that made studying so much more rewarding and enjoyable. Why Moray & Agnew? My aim has always been to work in a business that has the scope for growth and opportunity. The Moray & Agnew Canberra office has gone from strength to strength and has tripled in size from when I started. The culture here is fantastic; we have clever and collegiate staff who work hard both individually and as a team. We also have amazing clients which make coming to work easy. What do you enjoy outside work? I am a fairly social person, so I mostly spend time catching up with friends and family, travelling for weekends away, or planning larger holidays. I also spend a lot of time walking with my dog, exploring my local areas and other areas of Canberra, often grabbing a coffee on the way around. I am a big NRL fan (up up Cronulla), and also have an interest in motor racing. I am part of book club which rarely discusses books, but I enjoy listening to books (usually while walking the dog or travelling). Three words that sum you up Fun, loyal, and kind.
