Moray & Agnew welcomes Max Gao, Partner and Special Counsels Tegan Weir and Marian Morton to our National Government Team. Max will be based in Sydney, and Tegan and Marian will be based in Melbourne.

Max and Tegan join our Australian Government team with specialist experience in government and administrative law, in particular judicial and merits review. They both represent a broad range of government agencies in litigation across various courts and tribunals, frequently appearing as a solicitor advocate.

Max has extensive experience handling matters governed by intricate legislative regimes and involving sensitive material. He is known for managing and progressing significant volumes of litigation with efficiency and care.

Tegan also advises clients on issues relating to immigration and disability and regularly manages matters involving complex legislative frameworks and large-scale litigation.

Marian joins our Victorian State Government team as a litigation and advisory lawyer, working with partner Yolanta Figiel, and has acted for various government and private clients in a variety of litigated and non-litigated actions, including personal injury claims, administrative law, redress, Royal Commissions and inquiries.
