Meet Erin, one of our newest Partners. Erin is a skilled senior lawyer with an outstanding reputation in the Mid North Coast and Hunter region. She has a wealth of experience in personal injury insurance law, having worked exclusively in this field for over 20 years.

Why did you become a lawyer?

I guess I always had a predilection for argument and a flair for the dramatic monologue, so law seemed like a way to get paid for doing what I love. Little did I realise back then that there’s a lot more paperwork and far less monologue involved. Over time the tendency to argue has given way to the greater fulfillment that comes from working collegiately – less drama, better results.

Why Moray & Agnew?

I’d spent the better part of 16 years doing plaintiff work and was looking for a challenge and a change. The opportunity came up at Moray & Agnew and I pitched the idea of working almost exclusively remotely for them (it was the beginning of the pandemic and remote work was still a relative novelty). Fast forward to now and I’m one of the firm’s first fully remote partners. Safe to say it’s worked out pretty well. I’ve got huge respect and admiration for my colleagues, and I’m incredibly grateful they took a chance on something a little unconventional.

What do you enjoy outside work?

My loves outside work include live music, reading and travel.

Three words that sum you up.

Hardworking, fair, pragmatic.
