Jamie is a senior team member in Moray & Agnew’s catastrophic claims team in Sydney.

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

Jamie has extensive experience managing catastrophic claims, including traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, and psychiatric claims, as well as matters involving complex issues of liability, and medical stabilisation, causation and apportionment, and those involving minors. He has also acted in claims involving fraud, and false and misleading statements and exaggeration of injuries and impairments. Jamie also acts for interstate insurers assisting with their management of NSW claims.

Jamie regularly prepares and manages matters before the Personal Injury Commission, District Court of NSW and Supreme Court of NSW, as well as the Court of Appeal.  He has also prepared matters in the County and Supreme Courts of Victoria. Further, he has acted on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury matters, including in the settlement of multi-million dollar claims on behalf of minors. Jamie acts in matters involving Victorian, ACT and Tasmanian law for NSW and interstate insurers in addition to his NSW practice.

Immediately before commencing at Moray & Agnew, Jamie worked for the NSW State Government’s Legal Branch, where he assisted in defendant personal injury and intentional tort claims made against the State.

Jamie previously worked at a boutique plaintiff law firm that specialises in personal injury law, including compulsory third party claims, professional negligence and public liability claims.
