Bradley Stringer, Partner in Moray & Agnew’s Workers Compensation Team, is highly regarded for providing strategic claims management and expert advice to employers, brokers and insurer clients.

With over 20 years of practice, Brad specialises in defending complex common law claims for psychological injury alleged to result from an employer’s negligence. Brad’s practical advice focuses on achieving commercial and efficient resolution of these highly contentious disputes.

Brad regularly provides education and training to employers, insurers and colleagues. He is an excellent communicator, with an ability to demystify the intricate statutory landscape of the NSW workers compensation scheme.

The key driver of Brad’s passion for this work is the development of genuine and long-term relationships with his clients, placing their objectives at the forefront of his strategy.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Bradley’s experience includes:

  • Successfully defended his clients in numerous matters before the Worker Compensation Commission, including: Department of Education & Training ats Jascinta Field [WCC 16370 – 2003] – s11A defence of claim for psychiatric injury, Byrnes v Bellbond Security Pty Ltd [2006] NSWWCCMA 056 – involving a fraudulent claim by a worker and Helmore v Ulladulla Fishermans’ Cooperative Society Ltd [2013] NSWWCC 383 – s9A defence for assault in the course of employment.
  • Acting on behalf of one of Australia’s ‘Big 4’ banks in a matter initiated by a worker, involving several spurious allegations his managers which he alleged resulted in a psychological injury. The denial of liability contributed to savings on the claim estimated to exceed $200,000.

Bradley’s major accomplishments centre around the cases that aren’t reported, the claims resolved in their early stages with the benefit of outcome focused advice, saving clients tens of thousands of dollars in legal costs and, wherever possible, facilitating early return to work for injured workers to ensure minimum premium impact for employers and reduced claims costs for insurers.
