We combine the skills of our people, our brand and our network of clients and contacts to champion causes that matter to us, collectively, individually and to our clients. Moray & Agnew and our employees donate funds and services to numerous organisations, both nationally and in the communities in which we operate.
Our community giving programs come in all shapes and sizes – From morning teas to loud shirt days to 60km walks to the Cancer Council’s ‘Daffodil Day’, the Children’s Medical Research Institute’s ‘Jeans for Genes Day’ and similar fundraisers, our people get involved to make a difference.
We have established ‘The Moray & Agnew Indigenous Shaping Futures Scholarship in Law’ with The University of Newcastle Law School. This transformative scholarship enables us to support an indigenous recipient each year to progress academically, alongside challenging personal circumstances.
Two causes we particularly focused on in 2020 were the bushfire relief program via the Salvation Army and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance where we again funded a research assistant to aid the establishment of the Australian Congenital Cytomegalovirus Register (ACMVR).
On top of this, we actively support and/or participate in programs and activities that combine fundraising and client-focused events that support charities such as:
- Victoria’s Mirabel Foundation (which assists children who are orphaned or abandoned due to drug use by their parents)
- Fitted for Work
- Work placement programs for Queensland University of Technology legal practice students to allow them to gain insight and practical experience that will assist them to secure employment after graduation.
