Moray & Agnew has acquired respected boutique commercial law firm Devenish Law in Cairns, effective 6 October 2026. Devenish Law has built a reputation for providing pragmatic legal advice and dispute resolution services to business owners, property owners, body corporates, management rights owners, Indigenous organisations, and individuals requiring wills and estate planning services.
Partner Stephen Devenish, Special Counsel Shane Devenish and their team are experienced in advising businesses, property owners, Indigenous organisations, not-for-profit entities and individuals throughout Far North Queensland. They also bring specialist expertise in body corporate and community management law and management rights.
There are significant synergies between Devenish Law’s practice and the capabilities of Moray & Agnew’s Cairns team, particularly across commercial law, property, litigation and dispute resolution, and wills and estates. The acquisition further strengthens Moray & Agnew’s presence in North Queensland and enhances the firm’s ability to service clients in the region.
