Meet Daniel, Partner in our in our Insurance team. Daniel is an experienced insurance litigation lawyer with nearly 30 years’ experience advising insurers and self-insured corporates on complex claims.
Why did you become a lawyer?
I liked words and embarrassingly I never wanted to do anything else. I also liked advocating for others as a kid. I really enjoy working together with people and you get to do that as lawyer.
Why Moray & Agnew?
Many years ago, I was a client of Moray & Agnew and I nearly started my career at Moray’s but circumstances meant I went elsewhere. As a client, I loved how approachable, pragmatic, real and genuinely interested those I dealt with at Moray& Agnew were. I chose to come to Moray & Agnew later in my career as Moray’s have the best practice in what I do – as well as a wonderful Newcastle office full of great people.
What do you enjoy outside work?
I really enjoy my two daughters, Violet, 12, and Hilde, 9, but I enjoy less their desire to turn our home into a zoo. Two schnauzers, a ragdoll, a birman and an axolotl are enough. The maine coon is not coming.
I also enjoy getting outside and enjoying all the great places in the Hunter. A little bit of PS5 also goes a long way to unwind and enjoying food with friends and family.
