Felicity is a Special Counsel in our Professional Indemnity Team.

Felicity has 15 years’ experience defending health and insurance law claims across New South Wales and Queensland. Felicity also has in-house experience at a medical indemnity insurer, as both a solicitor and a claims manager.

Felicity has instructed on claims at hearing in the District Court of New South Wales, Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Queensland, and the High Court of Australia.

Felicity is also experienced in acting on behalf of members in regulatory matters, before complaints bodies and other peer review processes.

Felicity defends health practitioners and medical practices in civil claims and regulatory matters.

  • Coronial Inquiry into the Fire at Springwood NSW 17 October 2013 And the Fire at Mt Victoria NSW 17 October 2013 – acting on instructions from a large insurer for an arborist
  • Wilson v Mackay Hospital and Health Service [2021] QSC 178 – verdict for the plaintiff, resolved following the filing of an appeal
  • Filmalter v Swenson [2025] QSC 32 – verdict for the defendant.
