Jordan is a highly skilled Government advisor with expertise in administrative law, health law and workers’ compensation law. 


Jordan worked for the Commonwealth Government for seven years. She has expertise in:

  • Advising Commonwealth clients on a range of administrative law, health law, work health and safety (WHS), employment law, freedom of information, privacy and workers’ compensation matters
  • Drafting complex legislative instruments, instructing on tied drafting, and drafting explanatory material, human rights compatibility statements, responses to Parliamentary committees and associated briefings
  • Commonwealth compensation schemes
  • Assisting statutory Committees to run inquisitorial hearings.

Jordan is known for providing thorough and accurate legal advice. Having worked as a Principal Government Lawyer in the Australian Public Service, Jordan has hands-on experience with Government and is known for providing practical options to resolve matters favourably for her clients.


Jordan was the senior legal advisor to several Professional Services Review Committees, assisting the tribunals to exercise their powers and functions in accordance with the Health Insurance Act 1973 and administrative law principles.

She also advised government clients in relation to a number of significant matters arising under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988. 


Jordan has published academic work with the Journal of Law and Medicine.
