Emily draws upon her 10 years of experience in workplace relations law in providing pragmatic and outcome focused advice to clients in all aspects of workplace relations, industrial relations and general employment law.
Emily’s workplace relations experience includes advising on workplace agreements, award interpretation, policy development and implementation and bullying and harassment issues. She manages workplace investigations and regularly provides advice to employers in respect of employment issues arising out of transfer of business, restructuring and redundancy. Emily brings significant experience in disciplinary process and dismissals, dismissal disputes (including unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination), post-employment restraints and obligations and equal opportunity, discrimination and sexual harassment matters.
Emily regularly collaborates with advisors including safety and OHS consultants, independent investigators, recruitment agencies and EAP providers. She frequently presents at discussion groups and seminars on a range of emerging HR and Employment Law issues and enjoys unpacking these issues and generating discussions.
Emily provides informed and practical assistance to her employer clients to help them effectively manage their people. She strives to achieve commercially focussed and timely solutions for her clients.

Emily has a genuine interest in learning about her clients’ businesses and the particular issues that they face so that she can achieve her commitment of delivering strategies and outcomes best suited to their individual needs.
Emily has significant experience representing clients in conciliations at the Australian Human Rights Commission, the Victorian Equal Opportunity Human Rights Commission, and the Fair Work Commission. She also regularly represents clients in general protections matters and mediations in the Federal Circuit Court and the Federal Court, as well as workplace related litigious matters in various Australian legal jurisdictions.
