Caroline has over two decades of experience in litigation. Her key area of focus is the defence of professional indemnity claims on behalf of lawyers. She is also a highly experienced commercial litigator with extensive experience in contractual claims, trade practices, and shareholder disputes.

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

For over a decade, Caroline has expertly defended both barristers and solicitors against a multitude of professional negligence claims across all jurisdictions, including complex, multi-party disputes. Her approach is to provide strategic advice at an early stage to identify risks and strategies for resolution.

Caroline’s earlier career included working in the insurance team of a mid-tier law firm. During that time, her practice spanned the areas of public liability, product liability, property claims and recoveries as well as providing policy and indemnity advice. She also practised in general commercial litigation, including matters involving contractual disputes, trade practices, shareholder disputes, debt recovery and insolvency.

Caroline is known for her strong negotiating skills. She appears regularly at mediations and contested applications in the County and Supreme Courts.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 Caroline has successfully defended numerous practitioners at trial in the Supreme and County Courts, and the Court of Appeal.
